Is the Virtual Pathway Right for My Student?
Thank you for your interest in the Berkeley County Virtual Pathway. The goal of this survey is for you to recognize and confirm that your student would be a successful virtual student. Please take your time and read thoroughly so you get a good idea of all aspects of this pathway.

The survey should take you approximately 5 minutes and you should only complete the quiz once per student. Thank you for your participation, your feedback is valuable to us as we plan enrollment in BCVP for the 2026-27 school year.

This survey does not guarantee placement into BCVP. Your results are being sent to the appropriate school leadership for review. Please continue to monitor the caregiver's email for your recommendation status and next steps.

20-25: The virtual pathway is a very good fit for your student.
15-19: The virtual pathway could present some significant struggles for your student.
0-14: The virtual pathway is NOT a good fit for your student.
We will share those results with your student’s current school to get their recommendation on this request.

IMPORTANT: If you are completing the enrollment form for BCVP, then you are committing to at least one semester in the program. However, the program was designed as a full year curriculum and it is recommended that you commit to the entire year. ALSO, if you decide that you would like your child to return to the building, there is a possibility that all openings at his or her home school will be filled due to enrollment limits mandated by the state. This means that your child may have to attend a neighboring school.

Due to state age requirements, your student is not eligible to enroll in Kindergarten at this time. Students must be 5 years of age on or before June 30, 2026, to enroll for the 2026-2027 school year.

Early entrance testing is available for students who turn 5 during the months of July through December. For more information, please contact Shelly Cleg at jsclegg@k12.wv.us

In addition, you may be eligible to enroll your child in the Berkeley County Schools Pre-K Program. For more information, please call (304)267-3500.

Nonresident Transfer Request

Based on your responses, you must complete a nonresident transfer request at the link here. A request for a nonresident transfer must be initiated at the student’s home school.

Please note that your request for a Nonresident transfer will not be answered by the school’s principal until after August 1, 2026, to examine enrollment numbers for each school.
